
Since the founding of MICRO-PLUS Konzentrate GmbH has devoted particular attention to scientific research in the area of feed consumption and the effect of flavouring substances. Based on the results of basic research, our internal feed flavours have advanced continuously and consistently. It was natural that the digestive aspects of selected aroma components be been incorporated into the development.
For more than 20 years, the results of these investigations led to the development of the product line "digestarom", which today is valued worldwide for their positive influences on health and performance of the animals.
Scientific research has expanded over the years. Extensive studies have confirmed improvement in zootechnical data both under optimised conditions in institutes as well as in the field, with different species and genotypes. Interestingly, the application of our digestibility enhancer improved not only the performance data of the animals, but also the sensory properties of the meat.
We are very proud that we were able to bring forward new knowledge to various segments of the international research community. As an example, immune status tests (University of Milan), work on prececal digestibility (Free University of Berlin), and molecular biological research on phytogenic feed additives (University of Giessen). These commissioned works found entry in scientific publications of high standing such as the Journal of Animal Science and the World Rabbit Journal.
